Today's episode of ‘ I never expected this’.

So I'd begin by telling you to fall in love with sensible people but like everyone knows, they don't write ‘I have sense’ on the forehead. I really wish there was a way to know that somebody has sense and would continue to have sense till the end of time, maybe a small note popping out briefly from their eyes like in cartoons. Phew! On this journey of love, my dears, there's no light way to say this but SHINE YOUR EYES!
So I promised a story yesterday on WhatsApp and a story I would give. This story goes so many ways but I'll do my best to shed light on the most important areas so you can also learn.
I remember saying I've been lucky in love in one of my posts and trust me, that is not a lie. I've been in love with people and had my feelings reciprocated. People have loved me crazy and expressed their feelings and I've had the glory of refusing to acknowledge. This story concerns the former.
So, myself and this guy were head-over-heels in love. I think he loved me more though cos during the time we ‘officially’ dated, it was blissful and I don't remember making the kind of efforts he made. Life happened at some point and we had to end things but not on a bad note (please note that ending things on a bad note is definitely better than ending on a good note because it's true what they say ‘you can never be just friends with someone you once had real feelings for. Also, from what I've learnt, feelings scattered all over the place getting inadequate attention can mess people up). Who'll guess what happened? There were left over feelings. Like, we were still talking once in awhile and reminiscing on ‘when I was your man’. Hehehehe! The gbas gbos took time to come so I really wasn't expecting it.
So this boy had a new girlfriend. I'll not say I didn't know but he never mentioned her to me. Don't judge me. When you're in love with someone you probably do worse than hoping that they'll still love you even if they're in a relationship with someone else.
As ‘destiny’ would have it, we met again one time when I visited the city where he stayed. Before I continue, please can you give me three seconds of silence for this embarrassing story I'm taking my time to share? 🤕
We Met Up. It wasn't a bad first meeting after a long time. Thinking back, he didn't even buy me food. Haq! Never again. Okay, we continued meeting for awhile and it was good. Let me tell you something... In all my senselessness, I'm proud to say I didn't do anything senseless as you'd expect.
My time in that city was over and I packed my bags and left. Two months or so later, I had the ill luck of talking to this guy again.
He told me that it was because of me that he broke up with his girlfriend. He said seeing me took him back to when he used to love me and then he forgot himself. If I remember correctly, I gave him the once-over of his life. This was the same boy that begged me to enter a relationship with him again. The same one I repeatedly told that I would not take someone else's property... repeatedly my dears. Guess what. The first time he came to my DM with this rubbish talk, I apologized because I was actually feeling somewhat guilty, but something he said the second time enraged me ‘ I know you're sorry but I just cannot stop thinking that me and her would still be together if not for you’. Ha! That's almost like calling me a homewrecker shebi? Abi did my thoughts go too far? Who wants to know what I told him? I'd never swear directly but I did. I said ‘for f*cks sake’ without asterisks my dears and then in less than fifty words I said what even if somebody had taken a cane to his bum would still hurt more. Two lines... “stop trying to decorate the fact that she was already leaving before I came, and instead of throwing blames, do what people do to win hearts back”. Do you know that this guy actually told me he was going to break up with her because she was doing things he didn't like? She was actually doing big things but I'm trying my best to be respectful. In all my life, there are names people will call me and I'll actually be like, yeah, I can be this, but again, there are some accusations you'd throw at me that I'll refuse to stand. Sewuese, boyfriend snatcher? Haba. The only things I can see myself snatching are clothes from my big sis Tee and properly prepared food. God help me.
Maybe you're one of the lucky people who do not have sh*t thrown in their faces because of feelings from relationships even after you've verbally ended things. I'll pray you remain in luck.

New blog post: teeny facts ‘or not’ about this writer. Heyyy, long time no see. How are you holding up? I have to say the cold in this place is turning me to a jelly in a jar. Okay, hollup, seems like I’m deviating. Lol, guess that’s one fact or not about me…I love to talk. Let’s move to the basics. Maybe you’re wondering why I had to do this. I know, it’s not like I’m one celebrity or something but I’m your favourite writer (yeah, I heard you say so). Who knows, I may be one in two years from now or less cos why do I have you? Push me push me so I can have lots of money for giveaways 🙃 My name is Naze Salome Sewuese. Other names are Kristin, and of course, baby 😅. I’m a female woman (have to be real specific there). I come from a family of seven. My dad is an auditor and my mum is a teacher and a caterer and they both run a poultry house. I’m the second out of five girls. Dare to dream- you are more than the figure you see in the mirror.

In one episode of Young Sheldon, Sheldon asked the librarian what her religion was because he was learning about different religions in order to find the one he liked better. She said her religion teaches that when people die they go their own planets but women have to go to their husband's planet, except her because she's single.    In all 23 years of my life, I have battled with people's different beliefs in relation to love, respect and ambitions. It's been a tough and conflicting battle on what to belief as right or not. I have made my own assumptions and research based on what I've been taught intentionally and I believe at this point, I have the right standing.     The argument about God's intention when he took a rib out of man to create woman is one that can put one's brain in a turmoil. Did God mean for a woman to only be a helpmate and not have her own identity? Did he instruct Adam to be fruitful, multiply and subdue the earth by himself?   ...

MY CAMP SERIES: EPISODE 2 (Wise kind man)

Does it really pay to be patient? Or do we just have to be smart enough to know when to abide by the saying?     As the popular saying goes, “the patient dog eats the fattest bone“. Although nowadays when someone quotes it, another person replies, “patient dog don get ulcer” and everyone begins to laugh. Fetching water this afternoon during our free time before lunch, we had a long line of buckets with people waiting to get water to take their baths, wash their clothes, e.t.c,. Sitting with my first camp friend, we discussed a lot of things in a bid to pass time before our turn. Everybody's been so kind to everybody here, as if we're all eager to make new friends. Anyways, this other pretty girl comes with her buckets and expresses shock as she sees the number of people already waiting. Following the chatty trend, people begin to laugh and give her unnecessary/witty advice. One gist leads to the another and she joins the conversation with I and my friend. Somehow during t...
