New blog post: teeny facts ‘or not’ about this writer.

Heyyy, long time no see. How are you holding up? I have to say the cold in this place is turning me to a jelly in a jar. Okay, hollup, seems like I’m deviating. Lol, guess that’s one fact or not about me…I love to talk.

Let’s move to the basics. Maybe you’re wondering why I had to do this. I know, it’s not like I’m one celebrity or something but I’m your favourite writer (yeah, I heard you say so). Who knows, I may be one in two years from now or less cos why do I have you? Push me push me so I can have lots of money for giveaways 🙃

My name is Naze Salome Sewuese. Other names are Kristin, and of course, baby 😅. I’m a female woman (have to be real specific there). I come from a family of seven. My dad is an auditor and my mum is a teacher and a caterer and they both run a poultry house. I’m the second out of five girls. There’s Tee, myself, Seember, Nguamo and Mimi. I have my primary and secondary certificates from well-known schools in Niger state and I’m currently chasing a degree in Mass Communication in the coldest city in this part of the world.

I am a Christian, my family is Catholic and we plan to stay so forever, God helping us.

I’ve been in love enough times to know that I love love. I love kind and gentle words, I love kisses on my cheeks and forehead. I love 5 seconds ‘hey I just called to check on you’ and all those other stuff. Frankly, love has been good to me. My entire family is big on love and since I have only sisters, you can imagine the amount of attention I get from different beautiful girls in different beautiful ways.

Tee’s not so big on showing affection but hey, we're talking about me. Seember does her best especially as she loves me so much in particular. Let’s not enter Agie’s matter…she’s the big sister I have before Tee. Lol Mimi of course is stupidly in love with all her big sisters and I mean stoopid cos she shows it every chance she gets.

Okay, there’s my mum and dad too but I’m trying to remind myself that this is a post about ME. Yeah, my family’s a part of me too but you get my point, stop shouting!

I’ve been in the university for five years now. I guess we're doing an EP of the ‘four years don waka’ song. Was that funny? Hey, I said teeny facts ‘or not’ so let’s go there ASAP. Cos I went to school I’d say, teeny facts about me include;

I love God too much but surely not enough. I love being Christian and most especially, I love being Catholic.

I love my family stooopid.

I love to readdd (I’m getting a bit sensitive here) I mean, I love finding out new ways about things and I feel reading does it for me. And if you’re asking, I prefer books to movies.

I love my neighbour as myself. It’s not a lie, you just feel I don’t have enough neighbours 🙄

I love good food. Ehen, there’s this other thing around this food area I’ve been meaning to clear about myself. I love food yes, but, I DO NOT eat so much. I think I love the idea of food better than actually eating it.

I love to talk and be heard. I talk so much my gums hurt sometimes.

I love people, I love being there for my friends, meeting new people.

I love living. Everything that comes with being human I love. I love the challenges, successes, and all the emotions.

I love writing. I thought I loved writing poems until I grew older and started exploring other types of writing. I love narrations, that is, long essays on topics I’m interested in. When I start, I just cannot stop until all is said. Pardon me if you do not love to read so much.

In a world where morals and everything good is becoming everything bad, where people are rewriting scriptures and backing their notions with decorated facts, I’d say I do not belong. I love simplicity, basically because I do not like stress. I love staying indoors and my outdoor participations are mostly in my head. That’s why I read. I’ve been to New York, England, I’ve been to America, that beautiful bar in Los Angeles and the BEACH. I love especially the view from that part just before my legs can touch the waters. Hey, I’m lying. I love dark places better. They provide me the kind of vibe I need to read and TRAVEL in time.

I used to be really lazy in my childhood. I hate washing plates but I’ve been doing it ever since I started doing any house chores. Now I can’t say I’m lazy but I’m not hard working either. I just cannot read my book in peace knowing there’s something I haven’t done. Generally, I take the word LEISURE a bit personal. Basically, in relation to this, I love getting things done for my own convenience. I used to enjoy cooking when I was still learning to cook but now that I’ve learnt, cooking is just something I do so I can eat and this is bad because when it’s just me at home, I stay a long while without eating, God help me.

Now, let’s kindly welcome the root of all evils, MONEY into this post.

Before now, I would have said just a little about money but hey world, I’m grown now. Breaking this down quickly, I’m into business. I’m sure it’s as a result of my mum’s prayers. God finally answered her 😅. Remember that part about me being lazy in my childhood? You don’t want to know how bad it was. Until last year, I used to tell my family members that Tee, Seember and Agie would make money first and set up a business for me 😅. I even started praying to God to direct me. You know this thing you don’t know you’re good at until you actually try it? That’s business for me. Have you ever felt lost? Desperately or silently waiting for the road to be shown to you? I first started taking writing seriously, marketing myself and hoping you’ll like me enough to keep clicking when I have a new post up. That was me convincing myself that my laziness was not all that bad. Now I am proud to announce to you that I’m now a CEO (why do people call themselves that?). It sounds nice though.

Below are some of the things I sell:

Black/organic soaps: I started selling beautifully packaged black soaps because of my mum again. She somehow managed to motivate me using the fact that I’m a big girl and I need extra money for recharge card so I don’t have to ask any ‘man’. I used to disturb my daddy a lot before but I can proudly say it has REDUCED.

Scented shea butter: you know that saying, ‘‘turn what you love into what you sell’’? My mum has used shea butter for myself and my sisters ever since I can remember. I’ve been using shea butter for my natural hair since I started keeping it (5 years). I’ve met people who do not like shea butter mostly because of the claim that the smell is offensive. Say no more my dears, for you, I’ve adopted perfumed shea butter for use on your skin and your hair.

Female boots: so this is my newest baby. I just feel this sprung from a divine manifestation. Today I’m lying on my bed, next thing I know, the next day I’m posting ‘thanks for patronising’.

In subsequent times, I’ll be introducing other stuff of course. I love extra cash, I love financial freedom and hey, I love being able to send my sisters ‘tookay’ once in a while. PATRONISE ME! I have good manners and I love you.

If you’ve made it up to this point, you’re the reason I keep pushing. You didn’t give up on me and I’ll keep striving. I’m still trying to put pieces together and really define what I want to do on this space. Until then, Happy New Year, Happy New Month, Happy new chance at life. I really wish you the best in all that you’re praying for. Till we meet next time. Adios!

Dare to dream- you are more than the figure you see in the mirror.

In one episode of Young Sheldon, Sheldon asked the librarian what her religion was because he was learning about different religions in order to find the one he liked better. She said her religion teaches that when people die they go their own planets but women have to go to their husband's planet, except her because she's single.    In all 23 years of my life, I have battled with people's different beliefs in relation to love, respect and ambitions. It's been a tough and conflicting battle on what to belief as right or not. I have made my own assumptions and research based on what I've been taught intentionally and I believe at this point, I have the right standing.     The argument about God's intention when he took a rib out of man to create woman is one that can put one's brain in a turmoil. Did God mean for a woman to only be a helpmate and not have her own identity? Did he instruct Adam to be fruitful, multiply and subdue the earth by himself?   ...

MY CAMP SERIES: EPISODE 2 (Wise kind man)

Does it really pay to be patient? Or do we just have to be smart enough to know when to abide by the saying?     As the popular saying goes, “the patient dog eats the fattest bone“. Although nowadays when someone quotes it, another person replies, “patient dog don get ulcer” and everyone begins to laugh. Fetching water this afternoon during our free time before lunch, we had a long line of buckets with people waiting to get water to take their baths, wash their clothes, e.t.c,. Sitting with my first camp friend, we discussed a lot of things in a bid to pass time before our turn. Everybody's been so kind to everybody here, as if we're all eager to make new friends. Anyways, this other pretty girl comes with her buckets and expresses shock as she sees the number of people already waiting. Following the chatty trend, people begin to laugh and give her unnecessary/witty advice. One gist leads to the another and she joins the conversation with I and my friend. Somehow during t...
