Are you a market? SELL YOURSELF ! Defining a  market... Oxford dictionary of advanced English defines a market as  [countable] an occasion when people buy and sell goods; the open area or building where they meet to do this. Market as a verb means to ‘advertise or promote something'. The first time I heard the question ARE YOU A MARKET? being asked, I didn't understand it but soon as I put my mind into the idea of a market, I knew, I got the point.  B uying and selling, display of goods, wielding your convincing power to sell what you have, beating bargains and at long last, getting a reward for your efforts (money). With this, I guess we've come to an understanding that the question ‘are you a market?' is simply asking, what do you do? Clean your house more thoroughly when you're expecting a visitor.      Describe your typical spec in just two words... can you do that? Well, I can. Not typical. Yes, my typical spec is ‘not typical'. Just that. Not a spec and more, just a spec.  Going through Facebook and seeing photos of this guy flanked by his girlfriend got me amused. It takes less efforts being real than being fake. Try it. Authenticity makes you unique, makes you stand out and makes you happy because you'll be putting smiles on people's faces; including strangers . What does it mean to be authentic? Why should you be authentic? What's your gain from authenticity?  As always, I'll give examples from my personal experiences but first, being authentic means seeing the truth and telling it, it means, telling someone you may not like that they look great in their new hairdo because you can't resist it.    According to The Oxford dictionary, authenticity means; of undisputed origin and not a copy; genuine. Food for thought: learning never stops. Learning, unlearning and relearning. ITK,oversabi, know-it-all. Calm down, life has not finished 🙄    If you'd agree, there were a lot of things you learnt earlier in your life which you later found to not be entirely correct and then you had to unlearn them and relearn the correct ways about them. Teachings, beliefs, characters, etcetera,. Earlier this week, something really random happened and it made me realise that there's been a lot of changes with regards my growth. I noticed that some of the things I learned sometime in my life turned out to be false. A very silly example is how it took me awhile to learn the spelling of ‘osophagus' in primary school just to later learn in secondary school that the spelling is actually ‘esophagus'. Phew! So I'd begin by telling you to fall in love with sensible people but like everyone knows, they don't write ‘I have sense’ on the forehead. I really wish there was a way to know that somebody has sense and would continue to have sense till the end of time, maybe a small note popping out briefly from their eyes like in cartoons. Phew!
