Favour market (good and bad luck)

You can't be new to a place and go straight to the market on your own. Of course you need some time before you find it on your own or get someone to direct you.

DO NOT learn to disrespect people from others. I'll explain what I mean. People behave differently with people. This thing Nigerians say, ‘ our blood no just jam’ is a valid explanation for this.
You'll meet certain people and you'll instantly like them and vice versa. You'll find someone being rude to someone and getting away with it and feel you shouldn't give that person any respect too, but that's a wrong way to look at things. We must understand that people have their own ideas and thoughts about certain behaviors portrayed by different humans. Just like falling in love with a boy/girl, you find that you love something about him/her but you can't exactly explain what.
You may have a certain character trait that has mostly favoured you and then one day it doesn't.
Sometimes, it's just you
A person might like you and allow any wrong you do slide and choose to punish someone else for a lesser crime. As always, I have an example to back this up.
I have this very strict aunt and I stay at her place sometimes. She reminds me so much of my mum when I'm around her in the sense that, she complains about every little dirt and she wants you to do stuff for her exactly as she does it. It can be really crazy keeping up because of course, I am not her. Somehow, she has never really gotten angry with me (or maybe she just hasn't shown it) but I've seen her wrath on several occasions. One time, I made a mistake but when I said I was sorry, she didn't go any further. About 30 minutes later, Rejoice (her niece) made a smaller mistake and she was all over the place talking and talking. It was really shocking to me and I didn't understand it but I did when one day she said,“ you're my baby Sewuese, I'll teach you whatever you don't know”. Call this partiality but you can't teach people to not love people. It's possible that Rejoice has another aunt she goes to who doesn't allow her do any work.
Allow yourself encounter people and make your own decisions about how you want to relate with them. Don't do copy-copy. It's possible that what works for your friend may not work for you.
I got this job and I like to call it a ‘divine arrangement’cos of how swiftly I got it after coming from a major job heartbreak. I'd gone to apply for a teaching job sometime this month but the day I was told to resume, something really funny happened. The Headmistress came after break time and asked to interview me in her office. She noticed my ‘S’ pronounciation and declared that she couldn't take me because she wouldn't want the kids to pick it up. Fast forward to the next week. I walked into this pharmacy and the manager complimented on 100 things about me, she also noticed my ‘S’ pronounciation and was so fascinated. She thought I had a problem with my hearing but when I said it's natural, she asked me to thank God that at least I can talk.
Favour market will favour you if you're you. You do not have to imitate someone else. As long as you know what you want and act right, favours will be your portion.
Late new week motivation but not bad at all, right?

Forever a fan of your writing and how you keep it simple so everyone can read it. Despite the writing style being simple, it’s still intelligent and captivating all at once. Weldone boo

A Year of Service, A Lifetime of Lessons

Service, friendship, growth They say life is in stages- I agree. But if I hadn’t passed through the challenges that came with NYSC and made it to this point, I’d probably still be in comatose, asking God “Why me?” Before graduation, my friends; Lucy, Kyen, Melody, and I, discussed where we’d love to be posted for service. We’d done the entire four (technically six) years of university together, so it only made sense to plan to do life after school together, or at least close enough. We compared dreams, and they basically aligned. Little did we know. You know, when you’re in a particular stage of life and preparing for its end, the only logical thing to do is to dream of better, to stay optimistic, because faith, among other things, teaches us to believe that there’s always better ahead. Camp was the experience. I’d attended boarding school and even gone to camp as a junior cadet back in secondary school. I remember an endurance trek we went on one morning that nearly rendered my legs i...

Dare to dream- you are more than the figure you see in the mirror.

In one episode of Young Sheldon, Sheldon asked the librarian what her religion was because he was learning about different religions in order to find the one he liked better. She said her religion teaches that when people die they go their own planets but women have to go to their husband's planet, except her because she's single.    In all 23 years of my life, I have battled with people's different beliefs in relation to love, respect and ambitions. It's been a tough and conflicting battle on what to belief as right or not. I have made my own assumptions and research based on what I've been taught intentionally and I believe at this point, I have the right standing.     The argument about God's intention when he took a rib out of man to create woman is one that can put one's brain in a turmoil. Did God mean for a woman to only be a helpmate and not have her own identity? Did he instruct Adam to be fruitful, multiply and subdue the earth by himself?   ...
