Wrong signs and miscommunication: you can be less judgemental.

Heisss. You're walking and you hear this but refuse to turn and keep walking. Or ssssss. Meanwhile, this young man is trying to communicate to you that something of yours has just fallen, or worse, your zipper is open. Wrong signs. Of course, everyone knows that catcalling is a stupid sign men use in a bid to get a fine girl's attention, but it's also like the only way someone on the street who doesn't know your name can get your attention to something.
Dear Angel of God here on earth, judgement day will reach everybody, so there's no need to set up your table now.
- Dyed/tinted hair: Until recently, I had a bad perception about people dyeing/tinting their original hair colours to dirty brown, yellow, pink, blue, green, and especially RED. I saw this very beautiful picture of someone's natural hair that looks just like mine, tinted partly to light brown that I'd totally rock one of these days. I had the idea that anyone dyeing their hair must be a tout or probably someone with a weak mind that has been swayed by peer pressure, I don't know when it changed but it has. Dyeing ones hair is but another form of hair styling. Why do you not have a problem with coloured attachment/wigs?
My dear Mercy Rinwat asked me to write on miscommunication, and so, here goes.
The 21st century if you'd agree, is characterised by depression, mistrust, pressure, and OPPRESSION. People will always have an opinion contrary to yours, or in some cases, they'll have opinions they think are better. Everyone holds a right to free speech, yes, but I think it's going too far. Who gave anybody the right to judge others?
Let he who is without sin be the first to cast the stone. In other words, ‘ who never f!ck up, hands in the air ’.
People of the older generation who grew up in different times, would disagree with almost everything we do these days which is understandable, but we're supposed to have a certain level of understanding of ourselves and do better. We know the turn the world has taken; how social media affects a large fraction of everything we're involved in (relationships, fashion, music, e.t.c,.).
Not saying all of the things we do are justified, but I hope you get that you can be less judgemental since we're all in this together.
Judging someone by their dyed hair or choice of clothing is not one of the best things to do. We're in a time highly influenced by technology and people seek to try new things everyday.
Let's use you as an example... You stumble on a style on Instagram that caught your eyes, say, πŸ‘– jeans ripped from your hips all the way to your laps, hiding barely anything, but the model wearing it looked so good in it. You're not a slut but you have a knack for high fashion so you buy this pair of jeans and post a picture on Instagram. A few seconds later, a friend leaves a comment insinuating that you're looking for male attention.
I'm not suggesting that everything we see on social media is worthy of emulation, I'm asking that we do better at correcting our friends. Try to evaluate before you condemn. People's hearts are really fragile these days because of ‘ wetin my eyes don see’. You know your friends who are what they show that they are, you know the ones who fluctuate, and you know the ones who haven't found themselves at all... Be kind.
DO NOT go about telling people ‘ I thought you were better than this ’, and don't go about dragging their names into the mud. If you do this, it shows that you also have a problem that needs addressing. Social media is not a full representation of real life. I'm sure one or more times, you've come across people you were friends with online who had different personalities in reality. For example, those of you following this season of BBNaija will agree that Hermes is not actually the scary dude he looks like.
There are so many ways to avoid miscommunication, some of which can be found in the link below πŸ‘‡ make sure to click the link so you can learn a few things.

I've learnt that another symptom of depression can be excessiveness. Especially with people you know, pay attention. It is true that excessive happiness is a sign of deep sadness. Those friends that are always ‘ outside ’ actually have so much to deal with inside that's why they try to block it.
Do not lose relationships because of issues that can easily be resolved.

You did justice to this one!
I’m really glad you wrote something on the topic cos it’s a major thing these days!
It’s very easy to judge without first evaluating your own self.I used to be very judgemental myself allowing myself to think I was some saint(LolπŸ˜‚) not until I realised that it was exposure I hadn’t gotten yet.Thank God I’m more open minded now(I’m even doing some of the things I once condemnedπŸ˜‚).
And Yes!People should try to be more considerate about how they troll and drag people cos of what they think they know about them from their social media.Nobody is immune to getting their feelings hurt!
(Let me stop here before my comment becomes another blog post entirely πŸ˜‚)
You should consider featuring me on your next bog post πŸ˜‰we could create magic you know!πŸ˜‚

Dare to dream- you are more than the figure you see in the mirror.

In one episode of Young Sheldon, Sheldon asked the librarian what her religion was because he was learning about different religions in order to find the one he liked better. She said her religion teaches that when people die they go their own planets but women have to go to their husband's planet, except her because she's single.    In all 23 years of my life, I have battled with people's different beliefs in relation to love, respect and ambitions. It's been a tough and conflicting battle on what to belief as right or not. I have made my own assumptions and research based on what I've been taught intentionally and I believe at this point, I have the right standing.     The argument about God's intention when he took a rib out of man to create woman is one that can put one's brain in a turmoil. Did God mean for a woman to only be a helpmate and not have her own identity? Did he instruct Adam to be fruitful, multiply and subdue the earth by himself?   ...

MY CAMP SERIES: EPISODE 2 (Wise kind man)

Does it really pay to be patient? Or do we just have to be smart enough to know when to abide by the saying?     As the popular saying goes, “the patient dog eats the fattest bone“. Although nowadays when someone quotes it, another person replies, “patient dog don get ulcer” and everyone begins to laugh. Fetching water this afternoon during our free time before lunch, we had a long line of buckets with people waiting to get water to take their baths, wash their clothes, e.t.c,. Sitting with my first camp friend, we discussed a lot of things in a bid to pass time before our turn. Everybody's been so kind to everybody here, as if we're all eager to make new friends. Anyways, this other pretty girl comes with her buckets and expresses shock as she sees the number of people already waiting. Following the chatty trend, people begin to laugh and give her unnecessary/witty advice. One gist leads to the another and she joins the conversation with I and my friend. Somehow during t...
