Clean your house more thoroughly when you're expecting a visitor.

 

   Describe your typical spec in just two words... can you do that? Well, I can. Not typical.

Yes, my typical spec is ‘not typical'. Just that. Not a spec and more, just a spec. 

Going through Facebook and seeing photos of this guy flanked by his girlfriend got me amused. Of course, he didn't post the pictures, she tagged him. Tall, fair, handsome, has the right shape and quantity of beards, has clear eyes, slender but in that way that's attractive, clean, tight jaw, good shoes and a catchy smile. Ouu, white teeth. 

Naturally, everybody is looking for an arm-candy and a sight for sore eyes, basically someone they can flaunt. A quick question...what are the social aspects of your spec?

Does he/she post so much on WhatsApp or are they the one picture once in awhile kind of spec? Does he comment on photos of random girls and send friend requests to strangers? Does your spec know the right outfits for different occasions or is she the flip-flops on suits type?

Fine boy that his girlfriend tagged and captioned “ my soulmate " has sold his soul and time to typing hey pretty in my DM every now and then. He even spells pretty as pertty or is it auto correct? Can someone help type pretty and see if you get an option of pertty?

Now how do I describe my ‘not typical' spec?🤔  He's your regular guy but hard to read. He's everything a spec and more is but you won't be able to tell cos you'll be too busy being puzzled by his unusual movements. He's everywhere except in your life 🥱

   This is not a relationship advice, nope, I don't give those because anybody sure enough to be in a relationship should be wise enough to know the right moves to make to keep it working. My one concern is your choice of people to date. 

Some people do a really bad job kai. How do you not know the kind of personality that complements you? Why did you pick someone who's desperate when you're not easy to please? You'll just tire yourselves out. Why are you wasting your time with a crowned ‘ social media influencer ' when you do not even use social media frequently? You'll get pissed and irritated the few times you come online. 

Why do people rush into relationships? Ask yourself “ (insert your name) why do you rush into relationships? I remember one time when I was worrying Lulu, I was so bothered about wanting a boyfriend to keep my phone ringing and my notifications rising. I had so many prospects and was confused and almost miserable and she gently told me “ Sewuese, focus on yourself and your business, take care of yourself, do the things you like and you'll see".

  You met this fine girl somewhere sometime and she hasn't left your mind? Y'all have been talking non-stop since the day you exchanged numbers. It's been two weeks now and the butterflies are refusing to die. Asides her best colour, best food, what she does in her free time, where she works, how many siblings she has, where she's from and what her parents do, what else do you know? 

Asides the fact that he listens to how your day went, listens to you rant about your family being a bother or your friend being a bi*ch and calms you down, asides the fact that he calls you every night and every morning and buys you data because he wants you online when he is, what more do you know about him? 

A wise man once said “ take time to be by yourself and know exactly who are you before you bring people in". Almost like saying, clean your house more thoroughly when you're expecting a visitor.

Ask yourself questions. Do you like your personal space as much as I do? Do you enjoy company so much but feel burdened when your company refuses to go? What's your limit for people and outdoor participations? What do you crave on your bad days? How do you deal with anger or bad news? How do you feel about the wrongs happening in Nigeria?

People say “ love is not enough" and go ahead to add that you need financial stability because it's better to cry in Dubai than to cry in Nigeria on an empty stomach. I say this too because yes nau, it's the fact and God forbid that I marry a man that cannot give me 16k for human hair 😅. But again, does your fine rich boy know that Nigeria is sinking? Does he believe in the steps we're taking to make it better?Does your fine boy give help when nobody is watching? Remember that your fine boy picks fights on social media because of a celebrity. Just saying.

You need someone who comes home to you everyday no matter where they have been and how their day went. You need someone who makes you their safe place.

Does your fine girl know your temperaments, does she know when to stop? i.e, is she sensitive to your moods? Jot this part down You need someone with whom you can take your mask off and just be.

You may be telling yourself you don't need this because your relationship is not that deep and you just want to catch cruise. Hello! Does your cruise partner know you're catching cruise? Even if they know, did y'all set an end limit? People can agree to things at first but you underate yourself dear Queen/King. Did you forget that you're a full package? Did you forget that you're so beautiful and easy to love? That your eyes shine brightly when you laugh? Did you forget that you're so cute when you worry?

I want to go deeper but I don't want this to get boring.

In all your getting, get relationship advise from yourself. All those advices you give your friends, before you decide someone is good enough, take your own advice. I don't want to see any lady coming to my DM dragging me for taking her boo. Please check your boo and check me too, we DON'T MATCH!
